William studied at Harper Adams University College in Shropshire where he gained an Honours degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management and then went onto gain four years’ experience working in North Lincolnshire for Masons Chartered Surveyors and Louth Livestock Market. William became a qualified member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in 2010 and a fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV) in 2013. William moved back to Yorkshire and Cundalls in the summer of 2011. William specialises in all rural professional matters such as planning, rural grants, Basic farm payments and valuations. William is also heavily involved in Malton Livestock Market and sells prime and store cattle every week for and on behalf of Malton Livestock Auctioneers.

A retired farmers daughter originally from Moorsholm, Elaine now lives near Thirsk with husband, Bill. Elaine retrained as a farm secretary in 1996/7 gaining a distinction in the City & Guilds National Certificate for Farm Secretaries at Kirkley Hall College, Northumberland. Elaine joined the Institute of Agricultural Secretaries and Administrators (IAgSA) at college and has completed their Continued Professional Development (CPD) Scheme each year since then. She held various offices with the Yorkshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs including District Secretary and County Development Chairman. She has worked within the business since 2005. Elaine specialised in payroll issues whilst based at the office but now covers the full spectrum of Rural Business Administration. Her clients are based both in the Ryedale and Hambleton areas.

Office Manager

Hazel originated from Middlesex and her family has always had connections with the farming industry. After relocating to Northallerton in 2004 Hazel attended Northallerton College before going on to study Equine Business Management at Bishop Burton College, gaining a 2:1 degree in 2009. During her time at College, Hazel also gained her BHS Stages 1 and 2 and hopes to complete Stage 3 in the near future. She currently lives with her partner, Jim near his family farm on the outskirts on Helmsley and takes an active part in the farm alongside competing and hunting with her horses. Hazel has worked for the business since August 2009 and is based in the office at Reagarth. Since joining, Hazel has recently completed her training and assessment in Farm Accounting & Administration Unit 3 – Financial Recording for the Farm Business and has attended a number of Business Link PAYE workshops.

Alison grew up on the family farm near Otley, West Yorkshire until marrying her husband, Jonathan in 1987 and moved to Amotherby, near Malton. She gained her City & Guilds in Farm Accounts in 1996 and has been a farm secretary since 1997. She has worked alongside Christine several times through this period. She carried out work for Cundalls clients until July of this year when she joined the Cundalls RFAS team.
